The best way is to get the lowest price possible, with the best interest rate. I think we are close to a bottom. It is a buyer's market. Answered by

I believe the condo market has stabilized so even if we see a drop in condo prices, it probably won't be significant. If you are thinking of purchasing and holding long-term, it is a great time to buy as interest rates are at historic lows If the economy improves, there will probably be inflation in the horizon, which ultimately means higher interest rates. 2009 TD Canada Trust Condo Poll show that the perceptions of the condo market have improved significantly over 2008 with 44% of urban Canadians believing the current conditions have improved for buying a condo as an investment (versus 21% in 2008). Why? Respondents say it is a buyer's market and condo prices are declining. If they can't afford to buy one on their own, 43% are willing to consider a joint purchase with a friend or relative to make the condo purchase possible. http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/May2009/04/c7920.html Answered by

According to RBC poll, 73% of Canadians think it is a buyer's market: http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_32605.aspx . However, I think the economy will continue to deteriorate into 2009, which will probably lead to even lower condo prices. Answered by
